Enviu Agrifood Longlisted for Global Food Planet Prize

Enviu Agrifood has been longlisted for the 2025 Food Planet Prize, joining a select group of 35 standout initiatives chosen from over 1,000 global nominations.

The longlist spans 19 countries, recognising organisations driving bold innovation across agroecology, climate-smart farming, sustainable fisheries, and food systems transformation. All selected initiatives share one thing: real, scalable potential to accelerate the global transition to sustainable food systems.

“The Food Planet Prize can be more than an award. It can be a catalyst,” said Professor Lindiwe Majele Sibanda, Co-Chair of the Prize.

For Enviu Agrifood, the recognition affirms its venture-building approach, which designs and scales market-driven solutions with farmers and food system actors across East Africa and beyond.

The next phase will see the longlist narrowed to a shortlist, with finalists invited to the award ceremony in Sweden, where the world’s most impactful food systems innovators will be recognised for driving measurable environmental and social change.
