Alner, the innovative startup founded by Enviu and venture builder Bintang Ekananda in 2019, has been awarded the prestigious Mastercard Strive Award, securing a grant of USD 145,000. Alner's mission is to revolutionize Indonesians' daily product choices by introducing reusable packaging alternatives, specifically targeting hard-to-recycle plastic sachets and flexible holds.
In Indonesia, Alner has successfully diverted over 100,000 single-use plastics from landfills and oceans between March 2020 and July 2023. Independently verified by the Bintari Foundation, this accomplishment showcases Alner's commitment to environmental responsibility.
The Mastercard Strive Awards, supported by Strive Community, a global initiative of Caribou Digital and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, provides global recognition that propels Alner to scale its impact.
